High School Graduation Cake Ideas
Hi sweet friends! The graduation season is in full swing, and with it comes a whirlwind of celebrations, heartfelt speeches, and cherished memories that will last a lifetime. I’m putting together a round-up of high school graduation cake ideas from my cake business, showcasing various creative designs that reflect the unique personalities of graduates. There are countless ways to celebrate this significant milestone, from elegant tiered cakes adorned with fresh flowers to whimsical themed creations inspired by the graduates’ high school colors and mascot. These cakes will surely be the centerpiece of the graduation parties, impressing guests and creating delicious moments that will be remembered for years. Let’s make this graduation season extra special with cakes and sweet treats that capture the joy and excitement of the graduate’s momentous occasion!
High School Logo Graduation Cake

I loved making this high school logo graduation cake a few years ago! It was an 8- and 6-inch tiered cake with four cake layers each, with a large edible image of the high school logo. The acrylic nameplate was specially ordered. I created the c/o 2022 with my Cricut machine. The graduation cap is fondant, with a fondant gold tassel brushed with gold highlighter. I added some edible gold leaf and fancy sugar sprinkles to add a finishing touch.
Congrats Graduation Cake

Wilton’s Congrats grad cake inspired this high school graduation cake. I hand-made all of the fondant tassels with an Exacto knife. I used this letter fondant cutter set to create the letters.
Graduation Drip Cake

I created this graduation drip cake for a local high school graduate using their high school colors. I used a 3:1 ratio for the ganache drip (3oz candy melts and 1oz heavy cream) and painted it with edible gold (gold luster mixed with vodka).
College Graduation Letter Cake

I enjoyed making this letter graduation cake using my alma mater’s logo and colors!
Graduation Letter Cake

This was a birthday cake, but it is also one of the great high school graduation cake ideas for an incoming college graduate!

Girly Graduation Cake

I created this cake for my niece’s graduation last year. She wanted a girly girly cake, so I purchased a custom image from Etsy and printed it using a cardstock technique (for the fondant to be peeled off when serving). I selected an image from Cricut Access and cut the cake topper with my Cricut.
Tassel Graduation Cake

I used these small number fondant numbers from Etsy. Check out my Amazon Storefront for all the supplies I used for this graduation cake!
Pretty Graduation Cake

I loved making this gorgeous graduation cake with buttercream flowers. I used the Wilton Petal 81 piping tip and a small leaf piping tip to create these flowers.
Custom Graduation Cupcakes

Creating custom graduation cupcakes is one of my favorite orders! I made the cupcake toppers in Canva using their high school logo and colors, and had them printed by a local baker who does edible images. I can not find where I purchased the Congrats fondant embosser from. I used Sweet Stamp fondant embosser for the name.
