Easy Holiday Party Cakes

I created this trio last year in 2020 for my cake holiday orders (Peppermint, Eggnog and Gingerbread cakes). I wanted to do a traditional Christmas cake with traditional colors. The flavors also were such a hit! The cake recipes I used is at the below.
Peppermint Cake

This was a moist chocolate cake with peppermint buttercream with powdered sugar (icing sugar). I added chocolate ganache drip with peppermint bits in it, candy canes, and Fancy Sprinkles (CAKEINSPO15 for a discount). Make your regular American buttercream but omit vanilla, and add peppermint instead.
How To Make Peppermint Ganache Drip
- 4 oz white chocolate chips
- 1 oz heavy cream
- 2-4 crushed peppermint candies
Put all of the whtie chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl and heat at 30 seconds and heat at 15 second intervals until all melted. Crush up peppermint candies in a ziplock bag. Make sure they are really crushed. Mix in the drip ganache and stir. Let it sit for a minute.
Gingerbread Cake

I loved making this gingerbread cake! (recipe at below). I wanted to do a gingerbread latte cake but I settled on gingerbread cake with buttercream with crushed gingerbread Oreos. (Similar to cookies and cream buttercream) The drip was salted caramel. So yummy!
Eggnog Drip Cake

I didn’t realize that eggnog is so popular! I’ve never had it growing up. I found an eggnog cake recipe online (recipe at bottom) and decided to make it. It was pretty yummy!
Gingerbread Man Cake

No christmas cake is without cute gingerbread men! This cake was a red velvet moist cake. I’m not a huge fan of red velvet cake but the recipe I did was so good! I found these gingerbread royal icings at Michael’s. The only thing is missing is a gingerbread house. 😆
Vanilla Bean Festive Cake

This was a vanilla bean layer cake with Italian meringue buttercream and sprinkles with poinsettia royal icing. It was a delicious cake!
Candy Candy Cake

This was so fun to do! I purchased christmas candy from Target and did a white chocolate christmas bark with candies. I broke them into pieces and placed on the top of the cake and applied sprinkles to the side of the cake. I mixed christmas buttercream colors and used a 4B piping tip for the swirl.
Easy Christmas Cake

This easy christmas cake was inspired by @brittanymaycakes. I covered the cake with sanding sugar, did a ganache drip with sprinkles (add them after the drip was applied). I piped buttercream Christmas trees on a parchment paper and let them become firm in the fridge then apply them to the cake. Red macarons on the top of the cake for the final touch! I used a 1M piping tip for the buttercream swirl.
Black Christmas Cake

How is this for a non-traditional Christmas cake?! Loved the black christmas tree. I used 1M and 4B piping tips to achieve the Christmas tree. Add some sprinkles for a pretty effect!
Winter Botanicals Heart Cake

Ok, this is not exactly easy but I couldn’t pass up on sharing this perfect cake! Check out how to make this here.
