My goals for the blog and brand are to inspire bakers, share current cake trends and cake decorating tutorials, and to connect with wonderful bakers and people who want to create the best cake for their special moment. All of the content is written & produced by me.
I am a full-time mommy to my two beautiful boys. They are enough to keep me busy every single day! I love watching them explore the world. I want to freeze time, so they can be babies forever.
I am also a wife to my handsome & hard-working husband.
I am a dog momma to a 12 years old boxer named Bo. He is practically our third child. Our boys ADORE him because he can be a little crazy but he is a fantastic dog. I have much love for boxers. They’re the greatest! (UPDATE: He has passed on and we are missing him so much.)

Why blog about cake decorating?
I’ve always liked beautiful cakes but I didn’t get into cake decorating once I started to plan my oldest’s first birthday. I wanted to make him a cake and make it look amazing! Ever since I’ve been bitten by the cake decorating bug, I have made some cakes for my boys’ birthdays. I launched my cake business, Buttered & Sugared, LLC in 2020 (I am located in Houston, TX) and have been having fun creating cakes! See below to check out the cakes I’ve made. As for my blog, I wanted to be able to share my inspiration finds with my readers and satisfy my desire for creative output while staying home with my two boys while learning more about cake decorating. I have a background in Information Technology and web design, so a blog sounded like a great plan!
