Learn how to make adorable Easter Bunny Cupcakes
Hi friends! Easter is coming up next month. In this tutorial, I will show you how to make adorable Easter bunny cupcakes with chocolate bunny ears, buttercream grass, sprinkles, and colorful Pastel Jordan Almonds (eggs). A short video is at the bottom for an easy visual aid. For some Easter inspiration, click here.

I listed a doctored vanilla cupcake recipe card at the bottom if you want to use it. Otherwise, you can use any recipe. (boxed cake mix or favorite recipe)

Unfortunately, I somehow inadvertently deleted all of the raw videos for this cupcake set, so I only have this short and quick reel to go by. I will try to write as many detailed instructions as I can for the grass cupcake!

Materials you’ll need
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Bake the cupcakes following the recipe and allow them to cool on a baking wire rack.

Step 2: Make white vanilla buttercream following the recipe. Set aside for the green buttercream.
Step 3: Heat white melting chocolate in a microwave-proof bowl and pink melting chocolate in another bowl for thirty seconds. You will only need a small amount of white chocolate and a very small amount of pink melting chocolate. If they are not melted, heat again for 15 seconds and stir with a small rubber spatula.
Step 4: Lay a bakery wax or parchment paper. Grab a palette knife and dip it into the bowl with white chocolate. Make sure there is not too much chocolate; just right. Slowly “drag” the palette down at the bottom of the bakery wax (parchment paper). Repeat with the other bunny ear.

Step 5: Wipe the palette knife with a paper towel and dip it into the bowl with pink chocolate. Only a very small amount of chocolate. Repeat the process that you did with the white chocolate but start in the middle of the ear to create bunny ears.

Step 6: Repeat the process to create more cute bunny ears. Allow them to harden. (Placing them on a baking sheet to freeze will speed up the process.)
Step 7: Affix a piping bag with a 1M piping tip to create swirls on the top of the cupcake.

Step 8: Gently remove the chocolate bunny ears to place them on the top of the cupcakes.

Step 9: Add some sprinkles to the cupcakes.

Step 10: Affix a piping bag with a 2A piping tip to create buttercream swirls on top of each cupcake.

Step 11: Spread some sprinkles on a small plate. Roll the cupcake on the sprinkles (the very bottom of the cupcake)

Step 12: Place some pastel jordan almonds on the top of the cupcakes.

Step 13: Affix a piping bag with the grass piping tip. Begin to pipe upwards to create the “grass” effect” on the top of the cake.
Step 14: Sprinkle on some Easter sprinkles!
This will be a hit for your Easter dessert collection or a Easter celebration! You and kiddos will also have so much fun creating these cute bunny cupcakes!
